The night was full of energy. The bands were pumped everyone was ready for a great show. The staff was prepared to give their best ever service. Everyone was ready and had been since the show was announced. It was The Palomino’s biggest show since the take over of management by Wendy Jordan and Marc Fechter. I can’t tell you how honored I was to be able to cover the event for not only Bella Entertainment but also for The Palomino as their Events Photographer.
The night was opened with 37 Street Signs, their first biggest show to open for. I can’t express how perfect they were for this spot. As you have read in my previous article last issue, they are a young band with some great potential. I see them taking over Spokane with their awesome music in a couple of years. But that is just my opinion. Their performance was amazing as always. After their performance, I was able to catch them in the back as they were loading up and asked them how they thought it went. The excitement that came from all of them was extreme, to say the least, and they felt very confident they did amazing, which I totally agree.
Free the Jester, the Jesters of all Jesters was another amazing local band that opened for Saving Abel. Which was fitting, their music only furthered the crowds excitement for the main show that was soon to grace us all with their presence. You can read more about Free the Jester in the next article. The band after them was Kirra, the touring band with Saving Abel. I personally before this show didn’t know what they sounded like but was immediately impressed They Definitely have gained another fan from Bella Entertainment.
After Kirra’s had set the crowd waited in anticipation, many had already seen Scotty the lead singer walking around in the crowd and some even got pictures with him and his other band mates before they stepped on stage. The tension had been rising more and more as the roadies set up the stage for Saving Abel. Then it was time, the time that everyone was waiting for. The crowd had roared as soon as they stepped foot on stage. People of all ages came to the show and by this time The Palomino was packed. People got as close to the stage as the security guards would let them and the others who were upstairs gathered as well. I, however, had the best spot in the entire building, I think, the pit capturing the moment with my camera. The energy this band has on stage is amazing and should be aspired to by many bands, Scotty was all over the place and really interacted with the crowd a lot more than most national acts. This night will never be forgotten by many who went myself included
When the band was finished with their set, the crowd roared with screams of encore! Encore! Encore! Never to disappoint Saving Abel came out on stage again and started playing Addicted. The crowd was yelling and singing right along with them.
The crowd was gone and the staff got to meet the band personally, including me they were all very nice gentlemen, Even when they found out it was my birthday that night, they came up and sang me a happy birthday. We all here in the music scene and at The Palomino loved having you all come to Spokane and we would love for you to come back again. Special thanks to Ryan for letting us have Saving Abel in Bella Entertainment Magazine.
